Jennifer Tilly is a Los Angeles native born under very sub-standard conditions on September 16th, 1958. Her mother, who was a failing schoolteacher and actor, made a living selling automobiles, while her father worked as an auto salesman. Jennifer being the 2nd daughter of four went to theater shows with her mother and was very delighted. Jennifer's mother and father separated at age five. Jennifer spent the bulk of her youth living in British Columbia, after her mother and father moved to the province with their four kids. Jennifer did not consider herself a artist although she was a talented artist in her youth. Due to her experiences in Canada's public schools, Jennifer became the object of a lot of bullying. Her interest in theater began to wane throughout the time she was in high school in the end, and consequently, she actively participated in theater by herself with the assistance of her mother. The influence of her mother was to inspire all the kids in her family to have a passion and interest for performing arts. Her immediate response was to take the initiative.
