Awkwafina is an American singer and actress began by releasing witty raps which addressed the racial and sexual identities of people. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood her music, she came out with an album of rap songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens. Her initial exposure to music stemmed through the instrument of trumpet. The musician also had Jazz and classical training before exploring hip-hop in her teenager. When she was in college, she was focusing on studies, concentrating in both journalism and women's issues. for a brief amount of time in Beijing and she also took classes in Mandarin. After graduating, it wasn't until when she decided to turn her attention on music. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Other viral hits included the queef track and the equally winking NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. This track was directly linked with another Awkwafina project NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. She began pursuing acting as a profession after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in film projects like Neighbors and Storks. In 2018 she scored breakout performances in a variety of notable films, including Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
